Thank goodness, no serious damage (though you could have fooled me from the pain! ;) )
I made it the rest of the way down the slope without assist and got my rentals returned before going to ski patrol for an ice pack and a trained assessment.
It seems like I've stretched a ligament across my knee. This is the first time I've ever injured my knee. Boy does it hurt!! And wow, I would never have guessed how much simple daily action uses the muscles attatched to the knee.
I'm spending the day sitting on the couch (now that I foolishly got out of bed, that is), thinking about how far away the kitchen is.

..mmmm.... an ice pack, maybe? ;)
Thank you for the empathy and the well-wishes!
I'm doing surprisingly well and am so very grateful that it wasn't more devastating.
Today I can extend my injured leg almost to straight if I support it's weight, and I can bend it to almost 90 degrees. :)
